Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using HeyLetsConnect.com. By accessing or using any part of the service, you agree to become bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of HeyLetsConnect.com (the "Service" or "Platform"), operated by Jad Madi ("we", "us", or "our"). By registering for an account, publishing a collaboration request, proposing or accepting introductions, or browsing the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use or access the Service.

2. Description of the Service

HeyLetsConnect is an active-need matching platform created for software developers, technical founders, and engineers. The Service provides a structured medium for builders to:

  • Publish concrete, active blockers, problem statements, and available collaboration windows.
  • Discover peers with complementary engineering skills and aligned availability.
  • Exchange mutual opt-in connection proposals without unsolicited cold messaging or spam.
  • Expose machine-readable agent discovery endpoints via DNS-AID (RFC 9460) and WebMCP standards.

HeyLetsConnect enforces a strict mutual consent model: contact details and intro coordination are only facilitated when both participants explicitly review and accept an introduction proposal.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account or publish requests on the Platform.

Authentication is supported through X (OAuth 2.0 PKCE) and local development personas. You agree to provide accurate, truthful, and complete information regarding your identity, skills, and current engineering needs. You are responsible for safeguarding your session access and for all activities that take place under your account.

4. Community Standards and Acceptable Use

The Service exists solely to foster sincere, productive technical collaboration among builders. You agree that you will not:

  • Use the Platform for unsolicited sales pitches, recruiter blast messages, affiliate marketing, or commercial lead generation.
  • Post false, fraudulent, defamatory, sexually explicit, abusive, or misleading requests or profile information.
  • Harass, stalk, threaten, or discriminate against other builders based on race, gender, religion, national origin, or disability.
  • Impersonate any person, company, or open-source project, or claim technical affiliations you do not possess.
  • Scrape, index, or harvest personal data from the Platform using automated bots or scrapers without prior written consent.
  • Attempt to circumvent security controls, inject malicious code, overload our Cloudflare Workers edge runtime, or disrupt service operations.

5. Mutual Opt-In Mechanics and Disclaimer of Interactions

HeyLetsConnect facilitates peer introductions; we are not an employer, recruitment agency, brokerage, or contracting partner. Proposing an intro or accepting a match creates no contractual, employment, partnership, or agency relationship between you and HeyLetsConnect, or between you and any matched builder.

We do not verify, guarantee, or endorse the background, credentials, technical competency, code safety, or reliability of any user. You are solely responsible for conducting your own due diligence before collaborating, sharing proprietary code, or committing project resources.

6. User Content and Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership and intellectual property rights in the content, requests, descriptions, and materials you submit to the Service ("User Content").

By posting User Content, you grant HeyLetsConnect a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and adapt your content solely to operate, maintain, and promote the Service. This includes displaying your public builder vanity profile (e.g., heyletsconnect.com/@username) and surfacing relevant problem descriptions in automated discovery catalogs.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HeyLetsConnect expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express, statutory, or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We make no warranty that the Service will meet your specific requirements, operate without interruption, be timely, secure, or error-free, or that any matches will yield successful collaboration.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall HeyLetsConnect, its creators, operators, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service or your interactions with other users.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, our total cumulative liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service during the preceding twelve months, or fifty United States dollars ($50.00), whichever is less.

9. Account Deactivation and Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You can deactivate or withdraw your active collaboration requests from the onboarding dashboard.

We reserve the right to suspend, terminate, or restrict your access to all or part of the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if we believe in good faith that your conduct violates these Terms, harms our community, or threatens the security of the Platform.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Jordan and generally accepted international commercial standards, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes arising out of these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of Amman, Jordan.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms at our discretion. When changes are made, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect indicates your agreement to the modified Terms.
